Mentoring Plus were awarded our first ever grant of £10,000 for their Girl’s Group.

In 2021, they told us what difference their Girl’s Group made:

"Girls group has seen an increase in attendance during this year with some return and new members.

Girls Group has been a huge support for the girls during lockdown and whilst we slowly come out of lockdown to offer a safe space to be themselves, talk about the difficulties, their mental health what they have faced during this pandemic and to plan activities for the future.

Some comments from the girls during this time:

“Girls Group is my break away and I can just enjoy myself”

“It’s been a great help through lockdown with still being able to speak to someone if needed and coming out of lockdown and being able to mix with other girls – the group has helped me get back into socialising without feeling uncomfortable in a large group”.
