Our approach to grant-making is a little unusual…

Grants

Bath Women’s Fund members pool their monthly donations and, once a year, give their gathered funds to local groups as a grant.

Like other giving circles, part of our role is to encourage women to get involved with philanthropy. Members are involved in the grant making process: they select the theme, review applications, learn about the organisations applying, provide mentoring support to applicants, and vote on who receives the main grant.

For details of all the groups we have supported so far, please look at our charities page.

2026

Our grant making theme for 2026 (voted for by our members) is:

Meeting the needs of families who are most impacted by the increased cost of living, For example, organisations providing food, warmth, benefits advice, and preventing homelessness.

We are open to applications

We invite you to apply for £15,000 if you are a charitable organisation working in Bath & North East Somerset and you are meeting the needs of families who are most impacted by the increased cost of living. The first step in our process is to complete an Expression of Interest form and submit it by 5.p.m. Monday 23rd February. Please read our Guidance for Applicants document for the full details of our process, the criteria we will use to make decisions, and the link to the Expression of Interest form.
