Meet Michelle

I've never wanted a conventional life and have always been an explorer - both in the physical sense of travelling to new places but also in the more spiritual sense of wanting to understand what it means to be human and discovering new realities. Today, I continue to walk that path between science and spirituality with the belief that nature is sacred.

I'm first and foremost a mum - my hardest and most rewarding role. I have two girls (currently 5 and 2), a dog called Dingle and a big kid called John (i.e. my husband). I'm also a Gerontologist and founder of The Wisdom Space C.I.C.

As a Gerontologist, I study the ageing process and support people to live more conscious and fulfilled lives which are full of meaning and purpose. I trained as a Gerontologist after many years working in the health and care system where I saw a huge gap around supporting people through life transitions (and focusing on stages not ages) and around spiritual health as a missing foundation for living well. This subsequently led to the creation of The Wisdom Space.

The Wisdom Space is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company based in Bradford on Avon which brings people together across the generations to make sense of what really matters in life (and death). We run regular events with local speakers, artists and performers, offer workshops, and will soon be launching retreats and Sunday evening meditation and journaling sessions.

Community and giving back is such an important part of my life so I'm delighted that the Bath Women's Fund exists and can’t wait to meet you all. As Helen Keller so eloquently said, "Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much."
