Our Annual Grant Awards Evening 2023

We welcomed so many members and friends to our 2023 Grants Award Evening, kindly hosted by Newark Works on a warm summer evening in June.

Our members voted to support Black Families Education Support Group with our main grant of £15,000. We also awarded grants of £4,000 to the other two charity finalists as a contribution to their work: Make a Move and Sporting Family Change

Thanks to Lorri and Sarah from SARSAS for joining us to share the impact of the main grant of £15,000 awarded last year for the Survivor Voice Project, supporting women in and around Bath who have experienced sexual violence to build and empower a supportive community of survivors.

This inspiring new project has enabled survivors to explore feelings and encourage creative self-expression in non-judgemental spaces, supported by facilitators with lived experience such as Sarah, ensuring that voice is heard. We will be sending a short update from SARSAS soon for all members on the impact of our support through the 2022 main grant.

The evening was also a wonderful opportunity to thank Natalie. Holly and The Bath Brew House for raising over £500 through their International Women's Day Comedy Night, and to St John's Foundation for their support, hosting and managing donations and Gift Aid for Bath Women's Fund.
